Which Bountiful Streets and Nearby Towns Do We Reach? Find Your Area
A plumbing job near a city line often means a different permit office or a different sewer district. This page lists every place we cover around Bountiful, shows where each one sits and says who to ask about what.
Plumbing coverage around Bountiful
Bountiful is the center of this list. Street addresses in the city use ZIP 84010, and the list adds nearby Davis County towns, four Bountiful neighborhoods and Salt Lake City, which is in the next county south. Every place below has its own page. Bountiful is a suburb on the northern edge of the Salt Lake City area, with homes climbing the Wasatch foothills, so elevation and winter freezing matter for pipes in the hillside neighborhoods.

Who to ask in each place
Bountiful sits across a few jurisdictions, and the answer to a permit or sewer question changes at the line. The table lists the office to ask first in each place. The permit offices decide when a permit is needed, and the sewer districts approve work on the private line to the main.
Neighborhoods such as Val Verda or Maple Hills are inside Bountiful, so Bountiful's offices apply to them.

One sewer district across five of the towns
The South Davis Sewer District serves Bountiful, Centerville, North Salt Lake, West Bountiful and Woods Cross. Its approvals and fees are separate from city building permits, so a lateral repair in any of those towns has a District step as well as the city's. Digging adds a Blue Stakes 811 request, with at least 3 business days of notice, and private laterals are typically not marked.
Farmington is the exception, since it is served by Central Davis Sewer District. Salt Lake City runs its own Public Utilities. If a backup is the problem, the sewer line repair page explains the signs, and the drain cleaning page covers the lighter case of one slow fixture.
Salt Lake City is nine miles out: give your address
Salt Lake City is about nine miles from Bountiful and in Salt Lake County, while the other towns are in Davis County. It has its own utilities, its own permit offices and many local plumbers close by.
Its page is a guide to which office to call and what a plumber should explain. Whether we can reach your street depends on the address, so give your street and ZIP and ask. The same applies to any place on the list.
Giving your address when you call
Town names blur at the edges. Mail for a house near a boundary may carry a neighboring town's name, and Val Verda addresses are written as Bountiful. A street address with a cross street is clearer than a town name.
- Say the house number, the street and the nearest cross street.
- Give the ZIP from your mail, or say you are not sure.
- Describe what is happening, such as water running, a backup or no hot water.
- Mention if water is running now, since that changes what the plumber brings.
The person who answers confirms whether the address is in range and, if it is, sends a plumber serving that area. A written price needs a look at the problem, and typical ranges are on the plumbing price ranges page.
